Lines and wrinkles are a natural and unstoppable part of the ageing process. While they are inevitable, they can be prevented and reduced.
By blocking impulses from the nerves to our tiny facial muscles, temporarily relaxing them so that they don't contract, injectable wrinkle treatments soften the appearance of these lines. While the untreated muscles react in a normal way allowing facial expressions to be unaffected, the skin itself remains smooth and unwrinkled. It is an excellent treatment for targeting frown lines, crow's feet and forehead creases.
Dermal fillers replace lost volume and treat static facial lines by replenishing the natural hyaluronic acid content of the skin. A dermal filler procedure helps to 'fill out' and smooth away troublesome nose to mouth grooves, forehead lines, frown furrows, lipstick lines and acne pits. Dermal fillers are also effective for increasing fullness to narrow lips. Small quantities are injected into carefully targeted areas to help restore the fullness of your facial features, reduce wrinkles and enhance contours. As a result of facial dermal fillers, your face will feel smoother and look younger.
What happens during treatment?
An extremely fine, short needle is used to inject the wrinkle reduction or dermal filler treatment into the appropriate areas. Wrinkle reduction treatment normally starts to take effect after 4 - 14 days and results can last 4-6 months. There is evidence to suggest that the muscles eventually retrain themselves so that less frequent treatments may be necessary over time. Side effects are minimal and will be discussed with you as part of your consultation. Results for dermal fillers are immediate and can last up to 12 months, but some post treatment swelling will take 2-3 days to subside.
Prices are from £200 (for Botox® treatment to one area), which includes a Consultation and follow-up appointment. If you would like to discuss this treatment option further, please book a no-obligation consultation at Reception.
